From a hobby to the UK's biggest!
	TrailWorld Limited are the UK's largest independent off-road motorcycle tour company offereing a choice of 7 venues throughout the UK and southern Spain. All of our staff are simply nuts about off-road motorcycles so you can be assured of an enthusiastic response to every enquiry and attention to detail throughout your time with us - from simple one day UK tours to full blown holidays in Spain. It all started in mid 2006 when Bob Allen, one of the company directors, decided it might be a fun hobby to start up an off-road adventure tour company in southern Spain as he had been out with another company in that region and was not overly impressed at the way they ran things and thought he could do better! The ethos was to allow single riders and groups of friends to have exlusive use of the tour guide so that each and every tour was tailored to their needs without the added pressure of other riders unknown to them. At first it was decided that he would offer a gentle novice orientated tour around Villanueva Del Trabuco on user friendly trail bikes run by our very own Andy Thomas who is director number 2. By amazing coincidence, he was informed that one of his best customers from his days at Serval Marketing, Trevor Kidd, was residing just on the other side of the mountains so Bob decided to look him up! After chatting with Trevor it was decided that a second location would be great to cater for the more experienced off-road riders. Bob contacted Vince Waterhouse from Haven Off-Road Motorcycles to get some advice and to purchase the bikes for Spain. After a long chat Bob asked Vince if he would like to take the bikes over to Spain and have a go on the tours to see what he thought. Vince fell in love with the idea and became director number 3! Being an astute businessman, Bob had been watching an ever-growing motorcycle club in his local area and had been messaging it's founder Paul Massey about trips in Spain. Paul's owned a design agency in the locality so Bob called in for a chat about designing a website and all the marketing that goes with it. Realising that Paul was no ordinary graphic designer and was simply mad about everything to do with dirtbikes he became director number 4 and is often seen guiding groups on many of our tours in the UK! Very soon after the company had been formed, a company called In-4 Tracks and Trails came up for sale and it seemed a good opportunity to get in to the UK market and enable the whole company to operate as a UK company both here and abroad, which simplified things enormously. Things just seemed to grow from that day onwards and we now have 5 UK centres! What started as a little hobby for Bob Allen has suddenly become a fully blown business with a team that is so entusiastic about the operation that they will be hard to beat! 	Andy Thomas (Spain) - Director Andalucian Trail Tours and Scenic Tour Guide Andy has been riding motorcycles of all descriptions for over 25 years and has passed the Institute of Advanced Motorcyclists test as well as the equivalent one for Motorists, and, before emigrating to Spain 2 years ago was a senior observer with his local IAM group, helping keen riders and drivers attain the same level. Now the youthful enthusiasm has subsided, along with his lust for track days, his watchwords are safety and consideration for others. He was a courier in the UK for over 15 years so long days in the saddle are second nature to him! He lives in the village of Villanueva del Trabuco where we operate our novice tours from and has extensive knowledge of the area, including the best places to eat and visit for non-riders or if you have spare time following the riding. Many of the trails we use have been discovered whilst Andy has been out training on his mountain bike and when riding with his neighbours, one of whom is an ex-Andalucian Enduro Champion, so local knowledge is used to the full.
	Bob Allen - Director TrailWorld & Andalucian Trail Tours Bob has also been actively involved in motorcycling for many years. He has worked in the off-road motorcycle industry in various roles, including sponsoring Dave Thorpe and Terry Good when working with Serval Marketing (the Oakley importer). Having tried, and enjoyed, many forms of motorcycle sport he now feels the time is right to forget the competitive element and concentrate on having fun! This man is responsible for all this so blame him!
	Paul Massey - Director TrailWorld & Andalucian Trail Tours Paul has been riding and driving off-road for over 20 years and has entered events such as trials, hare and hounds, motocross and 4x4 trials - he's still rubbish at it though! His love of off-road activities led him to form the infamous Green Lane Crew based in the home counties of England, which has been one of the fastest growing off-road motorcycle groups around and has even been featured in Trail Bike Magazine. Despair at the NERC bill led Paul to try and do something positive and show other riders that there is still fun to be had off-road and firmly believes that 'Going Spanish' is key to his aspirations, especially as flights can be bought so cheaply. He takes great pride in ensuring that everyone enjoys themselves in a friendly, non-competitive environment and simply loves leading some of the UK tours when Bob has not got him tied to the computer! Will often anwser the phone if he is not allowed out to play! He also hates having his picture taken!
	The Flying Carrott - Terrain Tour Guide Our guide in Competa reveals himself only as THE FLYING CARROT as his normal dress code and style of arrival has attracted his biking mates to name him so. His three years of living and riding in Spain are only a shadow of the some 20 years plus of riding experience he has, including many years of UK ACU MotoX. Alongside the bikes there has also been quads, go-karts, extreme 4x4s and fast cars, many built by himself. Without doubt, this guy knows what you’re looking for in a good days riding and the tour routes offered by him will take you to where you want to go in order to have a great time. THE FLYING CARROT is passionate about his off-road riding and will share that enthusiasm with you.
	Baldzilla (Barry) - UK Tour Guide Simply known as the human GPS unit - his ability to remember routes is legendary but rumour has it he navigates by pubs and telephone exchanges! Barry is a likeable rogue who will help you really get the best out of your tour with us. Often teams up with Paul Massey on the larger group tours and if you like a bit of a laugh this team will certainly make sure you get it! His off-road skills are excellent and he is able to lead groups of all abilities in pretty much every centre we have available!
	The Mad Welshman (Clive) - South Wales Tour Guide The trails in South Wales that Clive does not know about are not worth knowing about! The Mad Welshman knows Wales like the back of his hand and can give all levels of rider a superb tour! He has been riding off-road motorcycles for years and works out every day in the gym! The only 'fit' lad at TrailWorld I think! He treats all the bikes like they are his own and expects our clients to do the same! Clive has a great sense of humour and will ensure that you have a day to remember in the Welsh Valleys.
