Payment Policy
We strive to keep our prices as low as possible for as many riders as possible but due to high credit card fee's we have to charge £5 per transaction on balances. This helps keep the cost down for people paying by cash, debit card, cheque and bank transfer.

Unless paying cash on the day, all balances must be paid in full 21 days before your tour date.

NO MOTORCYCLE LICENCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS SCHOOL

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCOMMODATE RIDERS WISHING TO USE THEIR OWN BIKES DUE TO NOISE LIMITATIONS BUT YOU ARE WELCOME TO BRING ALONG YOUR OWN RIDING GEAR OF YOUR PREFER.

From Nov 2008 we will be offering our customers the chance of having the day caught on film. We supply you with a helmet cam for the day and two SD cards to capture the action. We then transfer the SD video on to a DVD and send to you within 7 working days.

If you are just starting out in off road motorcycling, or are looking to improve your skills, then our off road motorcycle school at our Dirt Drifters site based in Markyate, Hertfordshire is a great place to start.

About the School

We have been asked many times in the past if we offer tuition or have somewhere that non-licence holders can be taught off-road riding skills from the professionals so we are pleased to announce our brand new off-road motorcycle training school.

You do not require an off-road motorcycle, a licence or any kit because our school includes the use of one of our off-road motorcycles, all protective clothing and body armour. We can cater for anyone who is 5ft 2in in height regardless of age but we do stipulate that under 16's are accompanied by a responsible adult who will be responsible for their behaviour at all times.

At the end of your course you will receive a certificate as a keepsake and the most imporved rider of the day will also receive a trophy to keep as boasting rights!

We run a maximum of 10 riders per school with 2 instructor/guides ensuring that you get the maximum tuition possible throughout the day.

Facilities at our site include toilets and a cafe where you can purchase breakfast or lunch. We also have a small 'Tuck Shop'. Free tea and coffee is available all day.

All riders, no matter what ability level would benefit from one of our off road motorcycle schools.

This school takes you through the fundamentals of off-road motorcycle riding and includes the following modules:

• Getting used to an off-road motorcycle and their controls

• The basics of handling an off-road motorcycle

• The correct way to recover a dropped bike

• Body positioning

• Riding while standing on the pegs

• Weighting pegs to steer

• Slalom while standing up

• Braking techniques rear

• Braking techniques front

• Safe locking of wheels

• Cornering

• Climbs and descents

• Certificate and Trophy Presentation

About your Instructor

Your instructor for the day is a National and International race champion, motorcycle tester and riding instructor with many years experience. Ian Cobby has skills including an in-depth understanding of riding techniques, strong analytical and communication skills, motorcycle set-up and technical knowledge as well as track event management expertise (and boy can he wheelie!).

His professional work experience includes private one-on-one instruction with track day riders and racers from club to national level, riding instructor with the European Superbike School and the Ducati Experience, road tester for Triumph, Harley-Davidson and Buell and has also written articles for Superbike magazine.

Ian's race experience includes:

Booking a school
No motorcycle licence is required for our school as they take place on privately owned land. We cater for ages from 14 (or 5ft 3") who have the basics of operating a geared motorcycle. You can book by calling us on 01727 858269 with a £50 deposit per person per day. You can also buy experience vouchers on-line which are valid for twelve months from your date of purchase - a great gift idea for friends or loved ones!
