TOUR NOTES

Suitable for novice off-road riders upwards.

NO motorcycle licence is required!

Riders must be aged 16 or over.

Runs two Saturdays per month - see www.worevents.com for details

Breakages are charged at trade cost - don't worry about scuffs and scratches - they are off-road bikes after all. You can insure yourself for damages up to £250 by paying a £20 fee on the day.

Whether you are new to off-road riding or a seasoned expert, you can't beat the buzz of riding around a full, championship level enduro circuit - these are usually around 7-10 miles per lap!.

This is not just a standard endurance event - these Race Experience Days are especially designed for people who want a taste of riding an enduro event but without the pressure of a full on competition.

What does the day include?

Your RED day includes entry to the circuit, enduro bike hire (250cc), all riding equipment and fuel.

You should aim to arrive at the circuit art around 9am where you head for the TrailWorld stand (any hi-vis person will show you the way!). We get you all kitted up before signing in at 9.30am. The circuit opens for free practice at 10am. There are experts on hand to give you guidance and help you with any techniques that you may need. There is a break for lunch at around 12.30pm.

After lunch there is a 'mini-enduro' event which you can take part in to see how many laps you can do in an hour while being timed. Of course you can simply potter around at your own pace if you want. The track re-opens for practice after this mini event for another hour or so depending on time of the year.

Where is it based?

RED days are rotated around different circuits in North Wales and are run by WOR events. You can visit their website for dates and venues http://www.worevents.com

Will I receive tuition?

There are many people riding around the circuit who are there for the sole purpose of helping you improve your skills - all you have to do is ask!

What type of motorcycle will I be riding?

The standard bike for RED days are the Yamaha WR250 enduro bike, although we are happy to supply a lower seat height CRF230F for those who don't want to ride a tall bike (please state at time of booking your required date)

Is there anything else that I should know?

We would advise that you bring along some warm underclothing and a dry towel if the weather is looking bleak! It is also useful to carry a rucksack with a bottle of water and a small amount of money for lunch.
